After graduating Texas Tech University, Ms. Crampton began her 17-year education journey as a health teacher at a charter school on the southwest side of Houston, Texas, where administrators immediately noticed her natural ability to connect with students and manage student behavior. They swiftly transitioned her into a core classroom setting where she could address greater academic needs. During her first year as a core teacher, 86% of her students were successful on their ELA state assessment, and she was promoted to the position of Reading Department Chair. Since moving into the core content area, her student percentages have met or exceeded state/campus improvement goals yearly. After 4 years of charter school facilitation, Ms. Crampton joined the world of the traditional district education sector. There, she became one of the top-ranking high school track and field coaches in the state of Texas, obtained her Master of Arts degree in English Language Learning, and remained a high scoring ELA teacher.
Currently, Ms. Crampton is a well sought-after classroom management professional development facilitator who has led sessions in instructional leadership learning, both in person and virtually, for well-established education institutions such as Accelerated Intermediate Academy, Klein Independent School District, The Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators, and The Principal’s Desk while concurrently serving in the role of an ELA Master Teacher, ELA I Team Lead, and an Individual Graduation Committee member for Klein ISD. She is most driven by her passion for educator wellness and advocacy, instructor coaching and consulting with districts, schools, and community agencies to develop systems that are sustainable and focused on building resilience in both staff and students.
